Finally spring has arrived!
Hadley has a new favorite toy, she can even turn it on by herself (this is not necessarily a good thing…)

She played with it for the better part of the afternoon. Drew and Phoebe joined her for a game of trying to jump over the water without getting wet.

She would raise the hose every time they jumped.. It was so obvious, but the big kids just kept trying and trying. There were many times I had to walk away so as not to giggle and give away her little secret. Then tonight I heard the water faucet squeak and I went outside to find this
April Showers
Pitter patter, pitter patter
Look at all the rain
Falling on my window sill and on my window pane
Sounding like the pitter pat of tiny fairy feet
Running down the garden path and dancing in the street
Washing everybody’s house and everybody’s shop
Pitter patter pitter patter
When will the rain stop??
Antics
Oh my. This little girl is so busy. So determined. So confident. So destructive. So hilarious too! Here are a few things she is up to these days.

Choosing her own clothes.. and very certain about what to wear each day.

Obsessed with somersaults. She sees Phoebe doing them, and she tries and tries.

Trying to escape. She does know we wear hats and boots when we leave, so I do have to give her props for being well dressed for the elements. We won’t talk about the time she escaped all the way to the turn around while I was folding laundry.. ahem.

Trying to find the perfect baggie? She is so busy these days. Yesterday she broke a large glass of banana peppers on the kitchen tile. Today she drew all over the front door with a crayon. Oh boy, I wonder what she might do tomorrow?!
Superstar

We made these ‘shooting stars’ today for birthday gifts for friends. They are wool felt stars filled with rice. They are so much fun! They really do shoot across the room when you throw them. Drew and Phoebe are going to a Harry Potter birthday party tomorrow and they are both very excited.
Chop chop choppity chop
Chop chop choppity chop
Cut off the bottom and cut off the top
What we have left we put in the pot
Chop chop choppity chop

Hadley and I have stayed home to tend to some house chores. She loves to cook with me these days. (she is using a plastic, functional, yet very safe knife) Andy and the big kids are off at Crystal at the invitational. I hope they are having as wonderful of a time as we are!
