Eastern travelling

I have been sitting here organizing pictures from our trip for the past few hours. We did so much. We made memories together as a family. I thought about posting photos from each day and captions to describe everything we did. But, that doesn’t feel completely right. So, I thought of the moment that stood out the most to me, and here it is. One simple moment from our trip that I will never forget. We had just eaten an early breakfast with the man who introduced Andy and I nearly 14 years ago. It was wonderful to see him. I had not seen him since our wedding, and he had never met our children. It was great to catch up. Then we said goodbye and we drove to the sea. We parked and crossed the street with our full and sleepy children and messed about in the rocks and foam and seaweed. We watched the tide come in under our feet as we balanced on the rocks. We hunted for crabs and seashells. As we were about to go I took this last picture and felt a large wave of contentment surround me. We have created a wonderful life for our family.
