I don’t have a fancy title for this one
We had a productive, fun day. I like those. We did the grocery shopping, cleaned the house, washed the couch, phoebe’s sheets, made chicken salad (which should not be called salad.. for the sake of children) made zucchini bread, read two new great books, and Drew made a gift for Hadley. She is obsessed with pillows right now, she loves to try to sleep on my pillow. And I swear she is already saying pillow.. Although it sounds like po-poo. So Drew thought it would be nice to make her one

He chose the fabric, I helped him pin it, and off he went. He loves using my sewing machine.

Here it is all finished. We added cute felt tags and ribbon, and a little fresh lavender. I think Hadley is pretty lucky to have such a great big brother. Phoebe has decided she would like to make Hadley a soft ball. We will do that project early next week.
In other news, many of you do not know that our sweet cat, Lemon, went missing more than two weeks ago. It has made us all very sad. We wonder where he is and if he is ok. I am pretty sure he will not be coming home now. Last night we learned (at our community party) that three other cats in our neighborhood have not come home. Maybe they all ran away together, or maybe the coyotes have taken them. If we ever do adopt another cat we will have to make sure he stays inside.
Well. I am happy it is the weekend. We do not have much planned, and that makes me happy too. We will have to see what kind of trouble we can get into in the next few days!

That is the cutest pillow! She will love it! (I even kind of wished i had one=)) How great that Drew can use the machine on his own! Yes, i did know about Lemon..Drew told me sometime recently. Lemon was in the scene the last time we skyped(walking in the background). That is really sad. We think our Leo got taken by coyotes or a fisher cat. If we ever have a cat again, it can go outside in the daytime, but must be in at night.(that is when the wild animals come out). Hey, did the kids like the story we sent about the dog and frog? We thought the illustrations were especially well done. Did Phoebe like her presents? It sounded like a perfect day for a birthday, and now Haddie’s is fast approaching!
