Crafting
I just realized that if I am going to get my Christmas gifts out in time I should probably send them by Friday. Friday!! Good thing I have such wonderful helpers.

Drew can really sew. He is cautious and slow and really enjoys it. Phoebe– not so much. It sounded like the Indy 500 when I let her try pushing the pedal. So we decided at least for now, sewing buttons might be best.

Good thing I have a lot of pink buttons — her favorite medium for now.

Even Haddie wanted to help.

She grabbed my needles and rolled over! (first time!!) Sorry, Sally, there may be a little baby slobber on your gift this year
And we recieved our first Christmas gift today

A gingerbread coffee cake. Wasn’t that nice of Andy’s old company. (can you hear the grumbling?).
I did open it up to see if by chance they slipped in the 20K or so we have had to pull from savings due to that great company. But you know, a coffee cake definitely makes up for that.
Time to catch up
So… It has been a while. Here are some of the things we have been up to–

Phoebe came out of her room Sunday morning with this great outfit. “All stripes! I match!” So Phoebe…
Then we went to see Santa

Drew had a few particulars to share.

Here Phoebe is showing Santa the American girl doll she loves. That is as close as she would go to him. And we may not go back to this particular Santa because he said he might not be able to bring her the presents she wanted if she did not sit on his lap. How creepy is that! She still declined- smart one that we are raising. Don’t you sometimes wish you could have some magical button to edit what strangers say to your children?? That sure would have been handy that day.

Here is what our Haddie looks like these days… Always always with a hand or two in her mouth. And Andy was pretty happy that night because he walked her to sleep … And he got to sit with her while I read bedtime stories to the big kids. — a treat for us all!
